Abstract:
“Background: Motivation and skill development are vital in physical education, particularly football. Tactical learning emphasizes decision-making and game understanding, while technical learning focuses on mastering fundamental skills. Integrating technology through the TPACK (Technological Pedagogical Content Knowledge) approach can bridge these methods, but its specific impact on football learning remains underexplored. Objectives: This study aimed to analyze the impact of a TPACK-based tactical and technical approach on football skills and student motivation at the junior high school level. Methods: A quasi-experimental design with pre-test and post-test measurements was used. Participants were 60 students divided into two groups: 30 in the TPACK-based tactical group and 30 in the TPACK-based technical group. Football skill tests and motivation questionnaires were administered before and after the 8-week intervention. Results: Both groups showed significant improvements in football skills and motivation (p < 0.05). The tactical group demonstrated greater gains in game understanding and decision-making, while the technical group excelled in skill execution. Conclusions: TPACK-based approaches effectively enhance both football skills and motivation, with tactical methods proving superior for game intelligence and technical methods for skill precision.”
