The review begins by examining pre-service teachers\u2019 characteristics and experiences with technology.&nbsp;&nbsp;Subsequently, it presents types of instruments used to assess pre-service teachers\u2019 TPACK and specific pathways and strategies used to develop pre-service teachers\u2019 TPACK. The focus is on empirical studies that make explicit the ways in which the TPACK framework informed teacher preparation efforts, data collection and analysis.
