Course design features influencing preservice teachers\u2019 self-efficacy beliefs in their ability to support students\u2019 use of ICT.\u00a0<em>Journal of Digital Learning in Teacher Education<\/em>, <em>36<\/em>(4), 221-236.\u00a0<a rel=\"noreferrer noopener\" href=\"https:\/\/doi.org\/10.1080\/21532974.2020.1781000\" target=\"_blank\">https:\/\/doi.org\/10.1080\/21532974.2020.1781000<\/a><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Abstract: <\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">\u201cThis study explores how using action plans, SMART goals, personal learning networking and peer teaching in a first-year education&nbsp;technology&nbsp;course influence pre-service teachers\u2019 (PSTs\u2019) self-efficacy beliefs in their&nbsp;technological&nbsp;pedagogical&nbsp;knowledge&nbsp;(TPK) and&nbsp;technological&nbsp;content&nbsp;knowledge&nbsp;(TCK). Pre- and post-course survey items from the&nbsp;<em>Teaching Teachers for the Future<\/em>&nbsp;project were administered to examine PSTs\u2019 judgements of their self-efficacy to support students\u2019 use ICT in the classroom, including digital and robotics&nbsp;technologies. Results showed a significant increase in PSTs\u2019 confidence in using ICT in the classroom with the strongest effect-size for supporting students\u2019 use of robotics and digital&nbsp;technologies&nbsp;(r\u2009&gt;\u20090.5). Course design features are discussed with reference to the corresponding impact on PST self-efficacy with recommendations for improvements to practice.\u201d<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>Martin, D.
